Paris Olympics Virtual Reality Parachute Accuracy Competition:
How to win the competition:
- You start at an altitude of 2500 feet (750 meters) above ground
- Fly through each ring as you descend (+50 points each)
- Aim to land as close to the green dot with an “X” target. Look for the column of smoke coming out of the target to guide you.
- Colliding with the Eiffel Tower means -250 points
Controls available:
- Turn Left: Pull down the left toggle.
- Turn Right: Pull down the right toggle.
- Slow Down: Pull down both toggles equally.
- Land Softly: Pull both toggles down to your hips.
- Check the altimeter on your left hand to monitor your altitude.
Wind Awareness:
- Look for the flags and the column of smoke to understand wind direction and strength.
- Tip: Land facing into the wind for better control.
Tips for Best Experience:
- If you’re new to VR, give yourself time to adjust by making slow head movements and gradual turns to ensure a smooth experience.
