OUR STORY
Flight simulators have been essential in training aircraft pilots for decades, significantly improving safety and decision-making skills. However, during this same period, we’ve tragically lost many skydiving brothers and sisters due to poor decisions made under their canopy.
Our passion lies in transforming skydiving safety through the power of virtual reality. We are dedicated to fostering a deeper, more informed awareness of safe canopy flight across all drop zones.
We pursue this mission through three key initiatives:
Enable Practice:
People learn best by doing. Our virtual reality parachute flight simulator, Canopypilot, allows skydivers to hone their canopy flight decision-making skills. By simulating realistic and relevant scenarios under instructor supervision, Canopypilot complements and enhances existing parachute flight training tools and techniques.
Promote Conversation:
With the ability to practice canopy flight safely on the ground, we aim to encourage respectful and informed discussions about pilot decisions. These debrief conversations will enhance every participant’s understanding of safety in the airspace above our drop zones.
Build Community:
By providing a platform to practice safer canopy techniques, we strive to cultivate a community that values and promotes safety-oriented canopy skills.
